Great Teaching Tool
I just recently purchased the Usborne Learning Palette base, and a few math cards to go with it. I admit I was a little leery about whether this would help reinforce what I am teaching the girls in our home school or if it would be just a waste of money and time.

Well, I can now wholeheartedly say that the Learning Palettes are great! The girls love them, my youngest now asks if we can play the math game with the circles! And I love it because it does really reinforce and help me teach new math concepts to the girls. The bonus is that it is self-correcting, once the kids know how to use it, they can use it when ever you and they want to.

That's right a little break for us busy moms to get something else done while they are having fun and learning at the same time! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun way to teach and reinforce math concepts.

This would be a great tool to use in the classroom at either a public or private school as well as in any home school.

You can either purchase the Base and the cards separately, thus giving you the chance to pick what your child needs to work on, or you can purchase one complete kit. Each kit comes with a learning base and a certain amount of cards, depending on what kit you choose depends on what cards you get.

I couldn't really figure out how this worked from the catalog, so bought my family a base and set of cards to "play" with.
It is a huge hit and my now-1st-grade twins regularly ask if they can play "the button" game. The concept is simple, using colored buttons to match a question and answer, and each card set contains several different "levels" of questions (for example - the rhyming words set includes cards where you match 2 pictures, some that require matching a picture with a word, and some that only show words). The self-correcting option is clever and very useful for kids who love to be independent. I also love that the cards and bases are easy to store and don't take up half the bookshelf :)

A must have for elementary teachers!
These are perfect for grade school classrooms.  It gives students the ability to practice skills on their own and is self correcting so they can complete the activity by themselves.  It is easy enough for young learners and the skills are advanced enough for older learners.  If your child is 4 years old this is the perfect learning tool that can grow with them as they progress through school.

worth every penny!
I got this when my oldest was 4yo thinking it might be too hard for her but we'd give it a try and hold on to it for kindergarten practice if nothing else.  Watching someone in a youtube video helped it click for me on how to use it.  Well, my daughter picked up the concept right away and loved it!  I was very pleasantly surprised.

Two years later both she and her now 3yo brother will fight over whose turn it is to "play."  We call the solid tokens "cookies" and the ones with holes "donuts" and that makes it even more fun for them.  I love that they are having fun learning concepts like vowel sounds, reading data from charts, matching shapes, etc.  I will definitely be purchasing the upper grade level packets as they grow!

The learning palette has been a fantastic addition for our homeschooling, but I'd recommend it for ANY and EVERY home, even if you use private, public, or online school,  as a fun way to supplement and reinforce math and reading.

It’s a game!
My 5 yr old loved this right out of the package he immediately wanted to “play his game”! He loves it and is recognizing the numbers better already. I like that it’s not just matching numbers but has sequencing and counting along with patterns which is great for figuring out logic. Great system and gives them a sense of accomplishment when they turn over the cards to match the discs.
